第25回読書会 三島由紀夫「熱帯樹」（10/8 夜オンライン）

熱帯夜が続いている。九月に入って半ばを過ぎても、まとまった雨も関西では降らない。
前回の尾崎翠をずっと引き摺っている日々だったが、次の読書会の告知の時期となった。

浜野佐知監督による尾崎翠原作の映画を見た。作品の世界は尾崎翠自身の生涯の描写と絡まり合うように構築されていき、観るものはその二つの時間と空間が平行しながら交差する不思議な感覚を憶える。そして、パンフレットに寄稿されていた尾崎翠の研究者である塚本靖代さんの論考を読んだ。妹が抱く兄への許されない恋慕、その代替としての翠作品における擬似恋愛について、興味深い指摘が展開され、目から鱗だった。塚本さんは若くして他界されている。

そして、次の読書会課題作品は三島由紀夫の戯曲「熱帯樹」。兄と妹の恋愛を中心に描かれる家族の愛憎劇。本は本を呼んでいる。

三島由紀夫の小説を最後に読んだのがいつだっただろう。文庫の『熱帯樹』は絶版になっていて手に入れるのに時間がかかったが、初版本を古本で購入できた。カバーは司修。

本の中に挟まっていた、当時の新潮文庫の純文学フェアのちらしに、気になる言葉を見つけたーー「実は、いちばんアブナイのは純文学なんだ」ーーさいきんのわたしのぼんやりとした思いを表現してくれている。

植物と書物と郵便アートの国際公募展(9/15-10/29)

2023年も開催します。植栽している実験花壇百庭のフェンスを利用した、植物をテーマにした国際公募展。今回はBookish and/or Botanical で、本のモチーフを入れてもらっても。

昨年は70名以上の参加があり、15カ国の外国からの応募がありました。本年は郵便でのポストカード作品に限定し、サイズはフレキシブル、素材はウォータープルーフ、フェンスに紐でオープン展示するのでどこかに穴を空けておいてください。

出展は無料、返却しません。野外展示なので、作品のダメージなどの補償もできませんので、ご了承ください。去年は紛失などはありませんでした。消印が九月か十月のもので、普通郵便でお送りください(6500002 神戸市中央区北野町4-18 北野町西公園実験花壇百庭公募展2023係)。

展はわたしの好きなミュージシャンKeith Tippettのオマージュでもあり、Septober Energy をコンセプトにしています。9月と10月のあなたのすてきな狂気をお待ちしています。下記に英語で詳しい案内があります。

Open Call: International Mail Art Exhibition from Kobe 2023 Septober (September and October stamp imprinted)

Please send your mail art pieces by Postcard (flexible size) and Waterproof (any material). Please make/open a hole(s) wherever you like, to be exhibited with a hemp string I am going to tie attached to the fence. Please do not forget to write your name, country and the title (if any) on the side of your art piece.

Style: Botanical or/and Bookish Mail Art, Open Air Exhibition in the park at the foot of Mt. Rokko in Kobe.

Deadline: not fixed, but I want postmark imprinted in September or October. When you are in Japan, you have almost two months for submission. But for you international contributors, please be careful of the exhibition dates.

At last but not the least. It is an open public space exhibition, I am sorry I cannot guarantee any damages in the air though I do my best to take care and the saddest thing like loss (it didn’t happen last year).
